Alberts Schloss in Manchester Review

Our first stop on our Manchester escape was the Alberts Schloss, an absolutely stunning bar and restaurant just off Deansgate. While the Alberts Schloss is well known for venue for drinks, this summer they released their new Breakfast Service.

The venue is absolutely eye catching with giant copper craft beer kegs inside and gorgeous flowers adorning the entrance. I was absolutely  gobsmacked about how gorgeous and how big Alberts Schloss is. I was told this bar is generally packed full of party goers listening to the live band in the evening, however, in the mornings the bar has a more quieter pace.

We were the first to arrive at the Alberts Schloss, so got to witness all the delicious baked goods coming fresh out of the oven. Kronuts and Cruffins have long graced everyone’s instagram feed but I think we’re a little behind in the game. It’s all changed now but we’ve discovered  “The Cruffin” (half croissant / half muffin) and “Kronuts” (half croissant / half doughnut). And it’s all thanks to Alberts Schloss. MY OH MY I have never been so excited to try a food in my life. The Peanut Butter and Rasberry Cruffin and the White Chocolate and Rasberry Kronut were divine. I even think I made some very unladylike groans of delight while I was devouring them and asked if the chef could marry me.  Make sure you get down early to get them fresh out of the oven. You’ll regret it if you don’t and they’re only £3.00! Total bargain.

Those who’ve read ONIN.London before know Eggs Benedict is my go to brunch item. Well Alberts Schloss have taken the classic and fancied it up as Crayfish Eggs Benedict. Utter perfection and very decadent. My friend’s Steak & Eggs (flat iron steak, poached eggs, potato rösti with hollandaise sauce) was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. If my Crayfish Eggs Benedict hadn’t been perfect, I would have had food envy for sure.
