Perfectly situated a stones throw from the creative Carnaby Street in the heart of Soho, Flat Iron Steak boasts a trendy take on the dining experience. Lined with communal tables Flat Iron houses a buzzing atmosphere and rocks the shabby chic feel. All steaks are served on distressed wooden boards with the sides in little tin bowls, plus you can carve into them with your handy cleaver knife!
But the food totally speaks for itself. The steaks are juicy and tender but not only that the sides are really interesting. The lushious caramelised pecans in Sophie’s salad and the roasted aubergine is super creamy, and can be made into a vegetarian main. Plus there is often a special up for grabs from the melt in your mouth beef belly to their meaty béarnaise burger. To top it off their menu elusive ooey gooey mouse is unconventionally topped with salt for a kooky twist.
If you are looking for something a little more ambient head down stairs to their candlelit cocktail den. Not only is there a number of cocktails on offer there’s even a doughnut cabinet which has been known to house the passionfruit curd variety!
However be warned in peak hours the queue can get super long with waiting times surpassing an hour, so maybe pick a quiet time to pop down.
