Durbar Review

465CB50F-AA95-4181-B678-D804F7EC9C92Brother’s Nicholas and Alastair have taken the much-loved Indian cocktail bar and given it a fresher quirkier feel. The Imperial Durbar re-launched in September and is waiting for you to check it out now!

Located in the heart of Tooting, this renewed hangout has plenty in the name of seating arrangements. Small rooms off-side for a little more privacy. as well as a wood burning fireplace to give you that cosy feel. An outdoor terrace which has a retractable roof, keeping you warm and dry on those nasty days with some out-door heaters to be arriving soon.

Nick and Alistair’s extensive time spent in India has shone through when they have created this wonderful place. Traditional furnishings, a green colour scheme running throughout, lounges, benches a room with arches which look out into the Indian vista, allows you to feel like you have just stepped off the street and into India.

Unique gin cocktails are a must while here. Combining Indian spices and herbs, giving it a little twist to your average drink. They are worth a try while here.If you’re after a bite to eat, hop into their phone booth and place your order of one of the many delicious items on offer. My personal fave is the Tikka Masala.

Guests can enjoy several entertainments on throughout the week. A DJ enhances the vibe by playing some chilled out Indian-lounge house music on the weekend. Monday, you are given the chance to test your brain by participating in a quiz and compete for some delicious prizes including cocktails, food and roll-over jackpot money. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday special curry beer deal. This is a started, main, rice and beer for the low cost of £12.50, Bargain!
