Pitcher & Piano Richmond

11 Bridge Street, Richmond, Surrey, TW9 1TQ

If you’re after somewhere fresh to have a crisp summers drink in West London, head to Pitcher & Piano Richmond who has just had a fabulous makeover, featuring a beautiful al fresco bar, complete with cocktail and beer stations and impressive views of the river. Housed in a historic mansion building on the bank of the Thames, Pitcher & Piano is a haven of vintage design. A feature archway leads guests to an inviting restaurant and bar area, decked out with revivalist furniture, lighting and a collection of bric-a-brac. When you’re done admiring the ground floor, head upstairs and take a seat by the restored baby grand piano, or enjoy a cocktail on the new industrial style high stools perched at the bar.

Whilst here, it would almost be rude not to sample one of its famous cocktails. Choose from Strawberry Fields (Bacardi Carta Blanca rum, strawberries, basil, sugar syrup, balsamic vinegar, lime juice and pineapple juice); spicy Pineapple & Pepper Margarita’s (Patrón Silver tequila, Cointreau, sugar syrup, lime juice, pineapple juice and cracked pepper) or The French Tart (Bombay Sapphire, St Germain Elderflower liqueur, Aperol, prosecco, lemon juice, cucumber, rosemary and soda), to name just a few of its wonderful cocktails. To accompany the drinks menu, there’s also a delectable bar menu. Small dishes include vibrant beetroot hummus with feta and roasted squash and crispy cod with sweet chilli jam and crème fraiche – perfect for sharing.

A selection of must-try salads includes chargrilled chicken Caesar salad or roasted cauliflower and potato salad with mango and lime dressing. Blow the diet with sinfully good skinny fries loaded with spicy beef chilli, melted cheddar, red Leicester, mozzarella and American-style mustard whilst Pitcher & Piano’s homemade beef burgers, made with their own special blend of chuck and brisket, are sure to satisfy.

So what are you waiting for? Head to Pitcher & Piano for Richmond’s best alfresco hotspot.
