Hot Tug Review

All Aboard! Hot Tug has arrived in London and its set to take you by storm.

IMG_7052Floating down the Regents Canal is definitely a highlight here in London. If you’re wanting to do it a little differently, hop in a Hot Tug (a hot tub boat) and leave your worries behind.Yourself and up to six mates can now opt to do something a little more unique with your London adventures or why not use this as a perfect opportunity for a romantic sail around the canals with a loved one?

The tug has an electric powered motor which is barely noticeable and as it’s a self-drive tug, one of you will need to be designated driver. How cool would it be to say you navigated the Hot Tug down Regents Canal!

This exceptional invention is designed by Frank De Bruijn who works on a barge in Port Rotterdam. Frank’s long experience of wood stoves while living and working on his own barge helped him to develop a wood-burning underwater stove. This then turns the water into a toasty warm 38 degrees Celsius.

Jack and Tommo are the main men behind Hot-Tug UK. They fell in love with Frank’s incredible idea and set out to make it a reality here for us today. There was also a  massive help from crowd-funding.

I am a fan of soaking my troubles away in a Jacuzzi but to do it in open air whilst drifting away down the Thames is just pure bliss. To cruise around for 90 minutes is a definite plus. Our half an hour taster was over in a heartbeat, leaving us wanting more as it was a truly unforgettable way to cruise in London.
