Hunter 486 Review

The Arch hotel, is a hidden gem in London, and this beautiful five-star boutique hotel is the home to the restaurant Hunter 486 . The hotel comprises of 82 rooms and might I say they are mighty fine.

The restaurant is a beautiful sight with blown glass chandeliers, artwork, cosy red leather booths and moody lighting. The menu at Hunter 486 has a great selection of British classics, featuring flat iron steak, pan fried cod, chicken caesar salad and battered haddock and peas.

For the starter I had the marinated tuna with pickled baby vegetables. It was a small portion as starters go, but nevertheless it was tasty, the tuna was fresh and the vegetables were marinated nicely.

I opted for the Hunter burger in a brioche bun and fries, what made this burger a winner in my books was the good quality of meat, how well it was cooked and the delicious onion marmalade, which gave it a nice kick!

My guest had the rose county 28 day aged rib eye steak with french fries and grilled mushrooms, another great option on the menu, the steak was cooked to perfection and the béarnaise sauce complemented the steak nicely.

By the time dessert came around, we were full, so me and my guest opted to share the chocolate fondant and salted caramel ice cream. Sweet tooth lovers you are in for an absolute treat with this dessert, the fondant was sweet and chocolatey and the salted caramel ice-cream went nicely with the fondant.

If you are looking for fine dinning, with incredibly friendly and helpful staff, then this is the place for you, it ticked all our boxes and no doubt we will be back!

The Arch hotel, is only a 10 minute walk to Marble Arch, where you can shop till your heart’s content. Or if you care for a leisurely walk in a park, then Hyde park is only a 15 minute walk away.
