Hyde Review

We have officially found London’s most sophisticated night out! Based in Paddington Hyde is part of the Bird Group. Hyde Bar is based within The Royal Park – A Roseate House Hotel. This quaint boutique hotel adds the glamour to any night out, where you want to relax, have amazing cocktails and just relax with friends. From the open fireplaces set within the bar to the friendly staff, you will instantly feel at home and watch the night hours pass away.

Hyde is renowned for their extravagant and detailed cocktail menu, with a huge selection to choose from and with only the finest alcohol used you won’t be disappointed. The bar’s cocktail list is a crossover of traditional classics interspersed with product creations off the beaten track, from small artisanal producers whose passion for their craft translates into unique and exclusive products.

We decided to try the Hyde’s signature cocktail, a luxurious combination of calvados, homemade salted butter hazelnut liqueur, Dubonnet and Laurent Perrier Champagne is award winning in its own right. If you love Champagne cocktails then this is for you! With so many different options of cocktails there will be one on the menu that will suit your pallet and personality, whether you like something light and flirty or want a deeper richer cocktail, you will not be disappointed by Hyde.

Hyde Bar does not offer a full dining menu. BUT! They have an amazing small plates menu, which we were recommend to choose 4-5 dishes per person and I promise even that is still a lot of food. The small plates theme is very Tapaseque (I made up a word). But the idea of sharing food over a nice cocktail and relaxing with friends is what Hyde offers in abundance. I won’t tell you everything I ate, simply because we tried nearly everything on the menu. What I do recommend when you choose your plates is to try the Scallops and Boudin Noir, with sweet corn puree and crispy sage, the pan-fried Quail with bacon crisp, raspberry and quail egg, the sauté mushrooms and finally the heirloom tomato and burrate salad with salsa verde.

If you are looking for that perfect night out then pop down to Hyde!
