Le Restaurant de PAUL – Review

breakfast_1-1Most of us are familiar with PAUL bakery on the high street (although not any old high street… it’s generally the swanky ones in London). A sleek, French bakery, good coffee and panini’s. Well the PAUL in Tower 42, is a step up on that, it’s a restaurant with a bakery bar, which I would say is pretty plush! It has bold jewel coloured velvet comfy armchairs and booths, with a modern and funky vibe to it.

We went to PAUL for breakfast, a short walk from Liverpool street station and was greeted with a warm and friendly welcoming. We both went for the Tartine, which came with multigrain bread, avocado, tomato, bacon, yogurt and poached egg. Mine was sightly amended, as I asked for scrambled eggs instead of a poached egg.

The avocado and bread was fresh and the eggs were cooked to perfection. It was a nice healthy breakfast, which set us up nicely for the rest of the day. Priced at only £8.50, a bargain in my eyes.
PAUL offers a good selection of teas and also smoothies, if you want to go down a more healthier route, we went for both. We choose the Vert smoothie, which comes with celery, spinach, broccoli, banana and pineapple and the Passion smoothie, which comes with passion fruit, mango, pineapple and fresh apple juice. Giving us an extra boost for the day.

We highly recommend PAUL in the city, however, aim to go during the week, as it’s closed on weekends.
