Pam Weinstock Releases New Autumn Collection

palazzo-di-fiori-silk-wrapDesigner Pam Weinstock London is set to launch a brand new range of home and fashion accessories this autumn with a collection entitled ‘La Mia Vita’ – the designer’s homage to her love of Italy and the impact her travels there have had on her life.

ONIN.London were invited to an intimate viewing of the new collection and to meet Pam herself. The new collection, perfect for autumn and winter, exude the romantic and historical elements of Italy. Pam shot the photography behind the prints in various parts of Italy and each design features a central, creative theme, including Aperol Spritz, a Tuscan farmhouse, the interiors from a grand palazzo at Villa Cora, and a single rose from a garden in Venice.

It was really interesting speaking to Pam and learning of how she began her career as a photographer, before launching her lifestyle brand creating wallpaper prints and furniture. Her passion for travel combines with her skill as a photographer to create striking patterns and designs. All the designs are transposed from her original photographs then developed into various products such as candles, sarongs, scarves, and diffusers in vibrant and bold patterns.

As Pam states her collections are designed for ‘a strong woman who wants to stand out’. The colours and patterns are certainly bright and eye-catching. The new collection consists of:

Palazzo di Fiori, meaning ‘Palace of Flowers’ has been created from an image Pam Weinstock took at the renowned Villa Cora Hotel in Florence. The imagery of roses in the palace garden has been transposed to create a pattern which evokes the romantic and historical significance of this villa and surrounding gardens. Villa Cora is an aristocratic residence reflecting the architectural styles of that period.

Giardino di Rose, ‘Garden of Flowers’, features an image taken at Belmond’s Hotel Cipriani in Venice.  Giardino di Rose is centred around the image of one delicate, pink rose resting upon the garden wall. The transposed image has been developed into a pattern which combines the flower’s pink colour with cooler green and turquoise hues, perfect for the winter season.

‘Bella Toscana’ is Pam’s ode to the Tuscan countryside. It means, ‘Beautiful Tuscany’ and the original image is of orange trees at a family farmhouse in the countryside with a blue sky backdrop. The lush green print is dotted with eye catching orange and within the centre of the piece is an intersting mirroring affect to emphasise the blue sky. clementina-scarf-full

Clementina captures the iconic Italian aperitif of Aperol Spritz and creates a stunning pattern featuring the crystal of the glass and ice cubes, along with the orange and amber tones of the classic drink. This image was taken at the majestic Gritti Palace in Venice, a place of art and elegance, where history and culture are met with renewed Venetian style.

I loved the collection so much that I bought the Blue Palm Sarong. This print was created from Pam’s photography of a hotel swimming pool whilst Pam was on holiday in sunny Dubai. Bright reflections of palm trees and afternoon light create a Moorish, oriental pattern. It arrived in the post a few days later and is just stunning. I now want more of the products, especially the beautiful candles press received in a thoughtful gift bag.

Pricing Information: Sarongs are priced from £70, Silk Wraps from £200, Scarves from £90, Pocket Squares from £40, Candles from £30, Diffusers from £25. So if you’re looking for that unique gift this Christmas…. well look no further than Pam Weinstock’s gorgeous collection.
