RED Market in Shoreditch

Opening on the 25^th of May 2016 until the 28^th of August, RED Market in Shoreditch will be offering street food, art, music and crazy golf. Until August, RED Market will also screen major sporting events including the Euro Championship football and the Wimbledon. Groups and families are welcome to attend these events. The theme this year is the ‘Last Days Of Shoreditch’, as with Shoreditch continuing to evolve RED market may be moving to a new location next year.

There is a wide variety of food available from Yeah Burger, Crabbie Shack, Le Bao and other street food businesses. I got to try Le Bao’s and thoroughly enjoyed these delicious tasting milk bun burgers. While the food was enjoyable, service was a little slow and staff hadn’t seemed to get into the rhythm required. My friend waited 20 minutes for a scallop burger from Crabbie Shack and she wasn’t as impressed with the food as I was. Staff at the various cocktail bars were quicker to serve refreshing cocktails, however, I did not price differences for the same cocktails at each bar. I mentioned this to staff, so hopefully this was fixed before the next night.

Deciding to play some crazy golf before heading home, we enjoyed the nine-hole course titled ‘Café Del Par’. Some of the holes which had us giggling were ‘Hamnesia’ and and ‘It’s All Gone Pete Thong’. It was fun, yet we ended up skipping a few holes due to overcrowding in the small space set aside for the golf.

Last Days of Shoreditch will open every Thursday and Friday 6pm until 11:30pm, Saturday from 4pm – 11.30pm, situated on the corner of Old Street and Great Rivington Street. Entry is free on Thursdays, however Friday and Saturdays entry is priced at £5. A limited number of 100 advance tickets will be on offer for £10 (including 1 drink) sale via www.lastdaysofshoreditch.co.uk. Tickets including entry and a game of crazy golf priced at £11.
