Searcys Celebrate Their 170th Birthday Celebrations In October

This October, Searcys, will celebrate their 170th birthday. For over two centuries they have catered and provided guests with Champagne. To celebrate, Searcys will be showcasing  a variety of standout events and bestoke experiences for the entire month of October. They’ll be a Champagne Tour through the city of London, a Laurent-Perrier afternoon tea experience, free Champagne at Searcys StPancras with a 100 minute and 70 second “Champagne Countdown” and a 1847 Murder On the Midnight Express six course Banquet feast.

Champagne Tour – 12th October: At Searcys’ Birthday Champagne Tour, guests will not only learn all about the Champagne region and wines but, how each bottle of bubbly is best paired with food. Guests will also be able taken on tour through London to visit three iconic Searcys venue before finishing at the top of The Gherkin. The tour includes one glass of Champagne and food pairing per venue. It starts at 6.30pm at Osteria and continues on to Searcys St. Pancras Restaurant, before ending at Searcys at The Gherkin. All this for only £35 per person!

Orangery-23Laurent-Perrier Afternoon Tea Experience – 21st and 22nd October: If you love afternoon tea and Champagne, well Searcys and Laurent-Perrier Champagne have you covered at Searcys Pavilion Road- a Georgian townhouse based in Knightsbridge. Expect Champagne Fountains, afternoon tea, and a riddling challenge (a tried and true method for ensuring a champagne holds a clear, crisp colour). Guests present at the afternoon tea also have a chance to win a bottle of magnum bottle of Laurent-Perrier to take home. This Afternoon Tea is pretty exclusive and is only available on the 21st and 22nd of October 2017 with dining options of 1pm-3pm and 4pm-6pm. Each dish in the the afternoon tea will be paired with a Laurent-Perrier Cuvee. For £75.00 per person, guests will receive three glasses of champagne and a full afternoon tea offering of finger sandwiches, and gourmet sweet treats.

Recipe Reveals: To celebrate 170 years of fantastic food, for the first time ever Searcys will unveil their delicous and famous recipes. Expect recipes for Bakewell Tarts, Toad in the Hole, the new 170 Cocktail (with matched canapes), Eve’s Pudding, Northumberland Leek and Potato soup and Salmon Fish Cakes with Tartar Sauce. Free Champagne at Searcys St. Pancras Restaurant: Keep an eye out on Searcy’s Social Media as for the entire month of October, Searcys are giving out free Champagne. You heard right… FREE Champagne. During the “Champagne Countdown” at Searcys St. Pancras Restaurant – located in the grand St. Pancras station there will  be 100 minutes and 70 seconds of free Champagne for all guests.

Murder On The Orient Express – Inspired Menu at St. Pancras: A special 1930’s themed menu has been created at Searcys St. Pancras Restaurant to celebrate the company’s official partnership with the upcoming film Murder on The Orient Express. The menu, which highlights dishes traditionally served on trains during this time. Which makes this menu even more exciting is when guests order from this new menu, they will be entered a competition to win two tickets to a private screening of Murder On The Orient Express at the 20th Century Fox studio. There will be 72 tickets available for guests to win. Guests who visit Searcys at the Pump Room in Bath will also have a chance to win a private screening as a part of a special afternoon tea offering, with winners being able to view the film in The Little Theatre.
