SAINT PATRICK’S DAY AT MR FOGG’S

On Monday 17th March 2014, Mr Fogg and his household staff, in support of their Irish neighbors and friends, shall be partnering with Ireland’s finest, Tullamore Dew Irish whiskey, to host a special Saint Patrick’s Day celebration. Well known for enjoying a knees up, the residence of Mr Fogg’s will be full of Irish good cheer and shall be putting on festivities to rival that of the streets of Dublin. Guests will be welcomed by Celtic musicians, Banish Misfortune, the most talented jig band this side of Limmerick, who will be playing throughout the evening, before they are all invited to join Tullamore Dew Irish whiskey, for a St Patrick’s toast, alongside some delicious canapés of Irish delicacies. In true Irish spirit, all household staff will be wonderfully attired, top hats, shamrocks and green ribbons at the ready, and guests too, will of course be encouraged to follow suit.

For each of ye olde petal on thy shamrock This brings a wish thy way – Good health, good luck, and happiness to thee For today and every day!

So if you ‘can resist everything but temptation’ then head on down to Dublin, via Bruton Lane this Saint Patrick’s Day. Mr Fogg’s is a recreation of the Victorian home of Jules Verne’s most famous adventurer, Phileas Fogg. Modelled on the very Mayfair house in which Phileas would have lived after travelling Around the World in 80 Days, the bar is refined but at the same time truly off-the-wall, breathing liveliness and fun into the area. It is the first West End project from Inception Group, whose founders Charlie Gilkes and Duncan Stirling have also created Chelsea speakeasy Barts, 80’s themed nightclub, Maggie’s, the acclaimed Bunga Bunga, an Englishman’s Italian, Bar, Pizzeria and Karaoke venue, and most recently Disco, an underground boite in Soho based on the disco movement that took place in 1970 Manhattan.
