Pillow Cinema al fresco launches on new rooftop venue
After four months of sell out shows at the Former Shoreditch Underground in 2015,Pillow Cinema – London’s comfiest cinema experience – is pleased to announce their giant fatboy beanbags are heading outside into the summer sunshine with the launch ofPillow Cinema al fresco on the roof of SNAP Studios on the 20th of June.
The Pillow Cinema formula of watching great films in amazing spaces, cuddled up on giant beanbags has proved popular with Londoners. Pillow Cinema al fresco kicks off the summer in style starting with a rooftop space overlooking Shoreditch Park.
“Everyone loves to snuggle up and watch a film. We created Pillow Cinema as our tribute to cuddly film watching on a grand scale.” says Asher Charman, Founder of Pillow Cinema.
“With Pillow Cinema al fresco we wanted to capture those long summer days in all their glory, so have lined up some fantastic outdoor spaces in which to kick back, relax and watch a great film”
Screening a variety of critically acclaimed recent releases, thought provoking documentaries and well loved classics, Pillow Cinema al fresco has an exciting lineup for their outdoor program.
Highlights include powerful Oscar winners like Whiplash and Birdman, the thought provoking Ex Machina, well loved classics like Clueless and the downright hilarious vampire tale What We Do in the Shadows.
Tickets for the al fresco series will be released every two weeks, and the current listings are available via their updated website www.pillowcinema.com
Tickets for the opening rooftop series are priced at £25 per fatboy beanbag (£12.50 each when shared between two guests) and include corkage. SNAP Studios is a BYO only venue, so guests are encourage to bring their own drinks and snacks to enjoy during the film.
In addition to the beanbags, guests are encouraged to bring their own pillow for their head to ensure the height of comfort.
