Going to The Old Dispensary is one way to relax at the weekend. You might be wondering how anyone could relax in a place with a name like this. But it’s a Bar/Pub with a relaxing atmosphere and easily accessible by public transport.
A cosy venue located south of the river in Camberwell, South East London with pleasant staff and delicious food. I enjoyed my night out there with some friends the other day and I’m planning to go back there soon.
The Pub has a band that plays excellent Jazz music session on Saturday evenings around about 8.00pm, which can be relaxing and can go on up to 11/12pm.

Recently I got to know that the venue was a former chemist and a bank. It has a rooftop, that attract the sunlight on a sunny day and you could almost see the glorious sunset.
Although it’s not the most glamorous Pub/bar, what really makes this venue stand out is it’s ancient wooden chairs and authentic vintage furniture fittings. There’s also free Wi-Fi
Food isn’t served on a Monday, but during the rest of the week you have a choice of traditional English pub food, or Thai, while on Sundays there’s a roast on offer for £6.99. Drinks are sold for around £2 and more.
The good thing about this pub is that you can enjoy an evening of Jazz if you are a local or if you happen to be in the area this will save you time and money going to the West End! The Old Dispensary is quite central and at least there’s somewhere to go this weekend.
