Green Rooms for Green Fingers in King’s Cross
As a love of botanicals continues to sweep the nation, Canopy Markets based in King’s Cross has decided to host Green Rooms Market from 19th-21st July to bring together a selection of the Capital’s burgeoning plant brands for a weekend of plant shopping, talks and creative workshops.
We’re told the space is going to be “transformed into an urban jungle for you to shop for houseplants, herbs, pots and planters, macramé, terrariums and plant accessories” underneath the West Handyside Canopy’s restored Victorian glass and steel roof.
And once you’ve fully stocked up on your favourite flora, you can then soak up some plant knowledge and get creative by joining one of the themed workshops:
Botanical Boys will be bringing their ‘Love Plants, Love Life’ ethos in the form of family-friendly terrarium making classes.
The creative duo Kat and Ellen from BAM! will be hosting a popular macramé plant hanger making workshop.
If you’re looking for creative ways to display your succulents, Succulent specialist Peng Succulents will be hosting unique succulent frame making workshops .
Accompanied by an herby cocktail and lush taster, Superb Herbs will share their tips for growing healthy herbs and reveal some of their favourites for drinks and infusions.
As well as this botanical takeover, visitors can still get the traditional Canopy Market extras, so expect the regular line up of traders, from street food, artisan produce, craft beer, a wine bar and designer-makers. We’ve got a feeling the FOMO will be real for anyone that misses out on this one.
