Sanderson Relaunches Iconic Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea

More than 150 years since Lewis Carroll’s iconic masterpiece was written, Sanderson invites you take a tumble down the rabbit hole, into the land of Alice in Wonderland, to celebrate the relaunch of its delicious Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea. If you’re a tea fan who is partial to something a little more interesting than the basic builders brew, you can sample one of Sanderson’s decadent creations, including the mocha chessboard gateau, chocolate and pistachio blue caterpillar, Alice’s cinnamon, apple and peach “Drink Me” potion and Tweedle Dee lemon curd financier.

If the exotic menu wasn’t enough, the settings it’s served in are just as magical, hidden away in the restaurant and stunning courtyard garden at the Sanderson. Think menus hidden inside vintage books, teapots adorned with Kings and Queens and sandwich plates decorated with zebras, bird cages and ticking clocks; upon which rest delectable delights such as a stack of King of Hearts parmesan croque-monsieur, mouth-watering scones and decadent smoked salmon Scotch quails eggs with caviar and cream cheese.

Prices from £48 per person and £35 for children 4-11 years old.
