Spring Flavours Bloom at Slurp Noodles, Shoreditch

If you’re looking for a fresh and exciting lunch or weekend destination in Shoreditch, Slurp Noodles should be top of your list. Perfectly positioned right next to the bustling Spitalfields Market, it’s the ideal spot for a relaxed lunch after a shopping spree or a lively gathering with friends. This season, Slurp has even more reason to visit, with the launch of a brand-new spring menu curated by the talented co-founder and restaurateur Saiphin Moore.

The new menu is a bold celebration of Thai cuisine, packed with vibrant flavours, fresh ingredients, and daring new combinations. Saiphin has personally selected a few of her favourite dishes to showcase the best of what Thai food has to offer this spring, ensuring every plate is a colourful and flavourful experience.

Among the standout dishes is the Bang Tod Cod Collar, a shallow-fried cod collar seasoned with aromatic Thai herbs and served with a seafood sauce dip. It’s crispy on the outside, tender inside, and utterly moreish. Another highlight is the Sai Oua Gai, a fragrant Northern Thai-style grilled chicken sausage, bursting with rich spices and the unmistakable smokiness from the grill.

No Thai meal would be complete without a refreshing salad, and the Som Tum Thai (Green Papaya Salad) delivers a perfect balance of sweet, sour, and spice. It’s crunchy, tangy, and just the right amount of fiery — an absolute must-try. For those who enjoy something a little spicier, the Dry Pad Prik Daeng Curry Eel is a showstopper. Braised in a fiery red gaeng paste and topped with crispy fried lime leaves, this dish offers a truly red-hot dining experience that’s not for the faint-hearted.

We absolutely loved the dishes we tried. The flavours were punchy, the spicing bold and authentic — everything you’d hope for from a top-quality Thai restaurant. Every bite transported us straight to the bustling street food markets of Thailand.

To complement the food, Slurp Thai also offers some brilliant drinks deals throughout the week. Guests can take advantage of 2 for £20 house cocktails between 5:00pm and 6:30pm, or sip on their favourites while enjoying 15% off during Wine Wednesdays. It’s the perfect way to toast the new season.

The drinks menu is as adventurous as the food, featuring Thai-inspired cocktails that are as creative as they are delicious. We highly recommend trying the Banana Hibiki, a smooth blend of Hibiki whisky, Cacao Rum, and Crème de banane. Other standouts include One Night in Khao San, made with Khao San Gin, lime, lemongrass syrup, and a dash of Birds Eye chilli for a spicy kick, and Koh Foam, a light and fragrant cocktail mixing Tarquin Gin, lemon, coconut foam, and Thai basil syrup. All the cocktails were beautifully crafted and very easy to sip away on a sunny afternoon.

In short, Slurp Thai’s spring menu offers a mouth-watering combination of authentic Thai flavours, creative drinks, and a vibrant Shoreditch setting. Whether you’re looking for a leisurely lunch, a pre-shopping pit stop, or an after-work catch-up with friends, this lively spot ticks every box.
