Blank Street open in Scotland

Cult brand Blank Street has opened its first store in Edinburgh. After calls from locals for the brand to open a Scottish outpost, Scotland is the third country for Blank Street, and there will be new stores opening in both Edinburgh and Glasgow in the coming months.

The first store is located on Edinburgh’s iconic Victoria Street and which was open to the public on 25th January. The second store followed on Edinburgh’s Princes Street on the 6th February. The brand
will then land in Glasgow in March, in time for their Spring menu launch.

In their first two years in the UK, Blank Street has built a strong and loyal fanbase, with customers loving its approach to both menu innovations and elevated in store experiences. Blank Street was the first to bring matcha to the mass market, the green drink has now become a mainstay across coffee shops all over the country. Alongside viral drinks such as White Chocolate Matcha and Blueberry Matcha, customers can also get their hands on staples including specialty cold brew, or a classic flat white.

The move into Scotland also coincides with the UK’s launch of the Daydream Matcha and Daydream
Latte. Daydream, which is already hugely popular in Blank Street’s New York stores, is a proprietary housemade blend of vanilla bean, honey and cinnamon, served with our classic latte, or ceremonial matcha.

Blank Street pairs its high quality, ceremonial grade matcha with signature flavours, as well as fun, seasonal drops each season. Their new home in Scotland is set to be a thoughtfully designed experience for Scottish locals looking to add a spark of magic to the everyday and create joyful daily routines.

Ignacio Llado, Co-Founder at Blank Street commented: “We are so excited to open the
doors of our first store in Scotland, right in the heart of Edinburgh. At Blank Street we
believe that life is about finding joy in life’s everyday moments, and we hope to be able to
do that with every green cup of coffee or signature matcha in what is, perhaps, the most
beautiful Blank Street location to date!”
