Bread Ahead Scandi Baking Class Review

I find baking and cooking very therapeutic, and it’s definitely a skill that I learned from my mum. Since moving out of my childhood home, we haven’t had much of a chance to bake together so I was very excited to take her to Bread Ahead in Wembley for their Scandinavian Baking Class.

Bread Ahead has a great selection of classes across their Wembley and London Bridge branches and the Scandi class caught my eye because I’ve always wanted to try making Cinnamon Buns. The half day course teaches you to make Cinnamon Buns, Rye Crispbreads and a Rye and Caraway Sourdough Loaf, and the results were all perfection.

I’m definitely tempted to make the crispbreads again, and put some Cinnamon Buns in the freezer so I can enjoy the again at a later date. The smell of them fresh out of the oven was divine, and really put me in the festive spirit.

The class was so well organised and our instructor was really knowledgeable about the different doughs needed for each elements and the flavours that went into each bake.

Bread Ahead’s workshops are the perfect festive gift for a loved one, and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough!
