Celebrate Día de Muertos with a Sensory Tequila Masterclass at The Lanesborough in Partnership with Maestro Dobel

To celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), The Lanesborough has partnered with Maestro Dobel Tequila to invite guests to an unforgettable sensory tequila masterclass on Friday 1st November from 6.00pm until 7.30pm. This unique experience will immerse guests in the rich traditions of Mexico while breaking down misconceptions about tequila and agave whilst introducing customers to the Cristalino style of tequila, a style that Maestro Dobel Tequila innovated. 

In Mexico, Día de los Muertos celebrates ancestors who have passed on in an all round joyful experience through lively festivities, delicious food, and, of course, exquisite tequila. The exclusive masterclass event will offer participants the opportunity to engage their senses as they discover the unique qualities of Maestro Dobel’s premium tequilas. Guests will be welcomed with a cocktail crafted with Dobel Silver, curated by Mickael Perron, Bar Manager of The Library Bar. Following this, Maestro Dobel Tequila Ambassador Maria Grazia Modafferi will guide attendees through the heritage and artistry behind Maestro Dobel Tequila.

Participants will indulge in a sensory tasting experience, exploring three distinct expressions of Maestro Dobel: the pure Maestro Dobel Silver, ideal for sipping or mixing; the complex Maestro DobelDiamante,  the world’s first Cristalino tequila aged in American and Eastern European oak for a rich and nuanced flavor; and the Maestro Dobel 50 Cristalino, made to commemorate our founder 50th anniversary  ,representing a new generation of tequila mastery. Throughout the tasting, guests will be encouraged to see, touch, smell, and even hear elements that enhance their experience, culminating in a Q&A session and a special gift to take home.

After the masterclass, guests are invited to continue their evening at The Library Bar, Garden Room, or The Lanesborough Grill.
