Empire State Building Shines in Multi-Colour Sparkle to Celebrate the Building’s 94th Anniversary

On Wednesday, April 30, the Empire State Building celebrated its 94th anniversary with a multicolour sparkle. After a record-breaking 1 year and 45 days of construction, the building was completed and opened to the public on May 1, 1931. On that day, President Hoover pressed a button in Washington, D.C. to officially open the building and turn on the Empire State Building’s lights for the very first time.

The Empire State Building Observatory Experience was recently named the #1 attraction in the World in Tripadvisor’s 2024 Travelers’ Choice Awards: Best of the Best Things to Do, and #1 Attraction in the U.S. for the third consecutive year.
