Fazenda Review
On a hot Friday night, you’d think a meat place with continuous tableside service is the last place you’d want to be, but Fazenda couldn’t have been more perfect for our dinner.
Fazenda is in the heart of Bishopsgate and we started the evening in Fino; the downstairs bar area. The cocktails are inspired by Brazil and South America so we ordered a Cartagena (Rum, Mango, Pineapple and Almond Soda) and a Paloma (my fave!)
We then head upstairs to Fazenda, where we were greeted by a friendly waitress and shown to the Market Table; a selection of salads and sides served to perfectly complement the Churrasco experience. Whilst it was served on a buffet table, I was pleasantly surprised at how fresh all the salads and food were, and they were the perfect side for all the meat, which I knew was coming!
At Fazenda, the team go around serving a selection of Brazilian meats such as rump steak, picanha and chicken thighs; straight from the grill to the table. On each table is a marker to show green when you want more, and red to pause, but the servers were really good at making us aware of what was going around so we didn’t miss anything good! They also asked for any dietary requirements and were very thoughtful not to bring pork to our table when I said I didn’t eat it.
The red meat was all grilled to perfection, and full of flavour. As well as salads, hot starters and side dishes could also be ordered. I’d recommend the Beef Croquettes and really enjoyed the Fries and Sweet Potato Mash.
Often at restaurants with continuous tableside service, you leave feeling uncomfortably full, and whilst we’d eaten a lovely meal, I left perfectly satisfied.
