Go out on a high at Festival Number 6.

Noel Gallagher

As summer comes to an end we are all craving one last hurrah, well, we certainly are!

From the 7th – 10th September, Festival Number 6 is offering to whisk you away to a foreign land (well, as foreign as possible), for the weekend. Based in Portmeirion, North Wales, this is probably the most unique festival the UK has to offer.

Portmeirion is an ‘Italian’ village in the corner of rural Wales, designed by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis in the 1900s, the village was built entirely without rulers or spirit levels. Towers, domes, pillars, cottages and mansions all feature in this Mediterranean oasis that is as far from Britain as you could get, whilst being in Britain.

The festival sprawls across the entire village, the surrounding forests, down to the sea. From paddle boarding to spa massages, swimming to wood fired hot tubs, and acoustic sets to hard core raves, Festival Number 6 really does please everyone. Among other treats, this year the headliners are Mogwai, Bloc Party and the Flaming Lips, but there’s so much more to see in terms of talks, workshops and activities. Your only problem will be the struggle to cram in everything you want to do.

This festival is a chance to escape your job for the weekend and pump yourself up on magical inspiration to keep you running until next time. Trains run direct from London, with free shuttle buses at the other end (Bangor) to transport you directly to the festival site.

The last tickets are selling fast so grab them now, and embark on a sparkly adventure. See you there!
