Calling all ballers… a Home Nations battle is set to take place on Sunday, 13th July, as England and Wales meet in the final group stage game of their UEFA Women’s EURO journey. To celebrate the occasion, football fans can soak up the atmosphere at the Just Eat “Ballers’ Banquet” in Soho, London. As an official partner of the Women’s EUROs, Just Eat is bringing fans together for a home-from-home style watch party that’s all about community, celebration, and full-throttle fandom.
In partnership with She’s a Baller, football lovers can expect a vibrant, immersive atmosphere where passion for the women’s game takes centre stage – with match-day vibes, great music, flowing drinks, and food delivered straight to your seat. Hosted by former Lioness and England’s most capped player, Fara Williams, the Ballers’ Banquet is set to be an action-packed screening fuelling football fandom and uniting passionate fans in support of the Lionesses and the Dragons.
The event comes as research reveals women’s football and the fandom around it have rapidly evolved since the last European Women’s Championship in 2022. Two weeks before Women’s Euro 2025 kick off, research from She’s A Baller found that 68% of football fans will be watching every game they can. While the study found that 73% of fans tend to watch WSL matches at home, a whopping 96% stated they wanted to watch games with others – highlighting a strong appetite for communal, in-person experiences.
With over a third of women’s football fans citing matchday atmosphere as the most enjoyable element of the game, vs just 14% of men’s football fans, the Ballers’ Banquet vibes will be on point. The home-from-home watch party kicks off with a matchday panel talk with Fara, alongside sports reporters and female sport advocates, Mim Walker-Khan and Priscilla Anyabu. The former Lioness will share her unique insights on the game, from expectations for the upcoming match, to the evolution of women’s football and the challenges it still faces.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a banquet without an enticing menu of food and drink from Just Eat partners, quite literally fuelling the game. Alongsideexclusive football-themed cocktails such as the ‘Striker’s Passion’ and ‘Lionesses Punch’, guests can enjoy the ultimate matchday sharing meal withbottomless pizzas from Franco Manca, plus a whole load of snacks throughout the evening and not to mention a few surprise deliveries.
There’ll also be entertainment for sports fans and families alike. Guests can expect to see DJ Emma Kirk on the ones and twos, building pre-game matchday vibes and keeping the hype going post-game into the night. Plus, guests can take part in the games zone featuring EA Sports FIFA on Playstation, as well as a foosball table for those who like their football games a bit more retro. As well as all this, guests can expect a temporary tattoo shop, mini sweet parlours and a candy floss station.
When half time hits, ballers at the banquet will be in with a chance of winning an array of prizes as Fara hosts a giveaway, with exclusive football merch up for grabs, including Just Eat x Daily Paper retro football jerseys, England jerseys signed by Fara, and of course Just Eat vouchers to fuel your future sports viewings at home.
The event is the delivery app’s latest commitment to female football at all levels, which includes past initiatives such as the Just Eat ‘101’ that encouraged girls and women across the country to keep playing long after Euro 2022 ended, and The Queen’s Header, a one of a kind venue that gave fans a space to watch the 2023 Women’s World Cup matches during the tricky Australian/New Zealand time difference.
As part of its continued commitment to progressing the women’s game, Just Eat will donate event ticket sales, plus a further investment of £18,000, to its Feed the Game fund. The fund aims to inspire and encourage more women and girls to play football with the support of much needed kit and equipment.
Football fans can grab their tickets here now. Tickets cost £5 which includes entry, 3x free drinks, free food, and snacks all evening.
Those who can’t make it down on the day needn’t worry; Just Eat is a one-stop shop for everything fans need to enjoy the women’s game from home. Food, drink, and snacks from thousands of restaurants and grocers can be all delivered to the door in as little as 30 minutes, meaning sports fans can support their team while creating the ultimate viewing experience at home.
