London Seafood Festival

For those who cannot make it to the Riviera. Seafood merchant Wright Bros Ltd brings you the London Seafood Festival. Located under Battersea Power Station, this festival spans from 20-24th June. This riverside festival has live music, outdoor film screenings, live cooking demos, street food, kid’s entertainment pop-ups and more. The lovely riverfront piazza is an ideal spot to enjoy some seafood and drinks. And you can arrive there by boat to the new TFL Battersea Power Station Pier.

Six thousand oysters have been kindly donated for the Wright Brothers’ Charity Shuck-A-Thon event. Over Saturday and Sunday afternoons award winning shuckers, chefs and industry allies will be shucking every last one of the 6000 oysters. Visitors are asked to donate money for a plate of 3 oysters. All money raised will go to the global charity committed to saving lives of malnourished children Action Against Hunger.

On Sunday 24th June you can pay £40 to join the Wright Brothers’ Crayfish Feast. This huge Cajun-style feast lets you enjoy the New Orleans-style Crayfish. Wright Brothers’ head chef Richard Kirkwood has spent the last few months perfecting this recipe. So, expect an abundance of crayfish, spicy corn and potatoes. All enjoyed with a nice cold beer. Communal seating, hot sauce, bib and all-you-can eat is an experience not to miss. Onin London were lucky enough to sample some of the crayfish on offer with a multitude of dipping sauces and it did not disappoint. The ticket includes 2 WhitstableBay Blonde Lagers and if you do not like sausage let them know in advance and they can do a separate pot without.

For the kids, you can get your picture taken with a mermaid. As the St Ives Mermaid has washed ashore at Battersea Power Station for the Saturday and Sunday afternoons of the London Seafood Festival.
