Love Bow Events Enchanted Afternoon Tea
We’ve found the perfect way to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon. On board The Floating Showrooms for Love Bow Events Enchanted Cocktail Afternoon Tea. I couldn’t get over how different this cute little canal boat looked during the day for this afternoon tea. Butterflies, Unicorns and flowers scattered the table top turning the boat into magical hideaway. We started with a delicious Cherry Liquor and Prosecco cocktail that went down a treat as we sat in the sun.
Our first course consisted of Cucumber sandwiches, Butterfly cheese and ham sandwiches, Spicy beans, Mini burgers, Chicken kebabs and Avocado cucumber salad. All these were served with editable flowers and sprinkled with editable glitter. These were all delightful and went down a treat to soak up some of the alcohol I’d been consuming during the wonderful weather London was having over the weekend.
With our dessert course came the Elderflower, gin and prosecco cocktail. I’d tried this one last week and it was a fabulous. So to get to drink this again with a fairy tale twist of sugared butterflies was a dream come true.
The dessert portion of our afternoon was Chocolate chip sponges, Fresh berries with silver glitter, Cupcakes, Angel cake biscuit and Marshmallows. We loved the inclusion of the fresh berries as these were the perfect accompaniment to the sweetness of the cakes.
Our final course was a Cheese and Chive Scone and Scones with Jam and Cream. Classic afternoon tea staples. These were so fluffy and light. Our only suggestion would have been to have these before the dessert portion. They would have been the perfect segway from savoury to sweet. This course came with a cute little cocktail of blue curacao, vodka, triple sec and lemonade. It sure packed a punch.
Last but not least as day turned into night we were provided with another delicious cocktail of apple sour, coconut rum, lemonade and apple juice. Plus the delicious Bailey’s, Nutella and ice-cream shot we’d tried before. This cocktail was massive but it went down a treat with all the guests on board.
