 LAVO at The BoTree Unveils 20-Layer Matcha Cake  

LAVO at The BoTree is kicking off the new year with the debut of its new iconic 20-layer cake in a vibrant matcha rendition. The cake features a soft matcha tea sponge layered with Amalfi lemon and a fresh, fluffy crème fraîche cream, finished with a striking green velvet coating. Infused with the earthy richness of matcha, this new flavour offers a fresh and exciting twist on LAVO’s signature dessert. 

Taking centre stage for the start of 2026, the Matcha layer cake will be featured alongside the à la carte menu. It joins a lineup of indulgent desserts, including New York Cheesecake, Tiramisu, Caprese Cake with other menu highlights including seafood, antipasti, and handmade pasta. 

This was an absolute showstopper that tasted as good as it looked. Each delicate layer of soft matcha sponge is perfectly balanced by bright Amalfi lemon and light, tangy crème fraîche cream, creating a dessert that’s rich yet refreshing with every bite. The earthy depth of matcha brings elegance and complexity, while the vibrant green velvet finish adds a luxurious final touch.
