NUALA Delivers Irish Charm to East London

Attention city slickers and beanie-adorned hipsters of the East: brand new Irish drinking den, NUALA, will be throwing open its doors on Thursday 7th December. The venue is set to spice up City Road’s social scene, offering a refreshing addition to the areas existing British pubs and overpriced bars.

If you’re looking for a man to thank for this new-meets-old Irish pub, his name is Niall Davidson. After cutting his teeth at St John Bread & Wine, Lockhart and the Chiltern Firehouse, this will be the chef’s first official restaurant opening. Davidson and his team will be offering the best Guinness outside Dublin. Meanwhile, those with an appetite will be able to enjoy the best ingredients from across the British Isles, cooked around a wood-fire.

Pouring drinks will be Head Bartender and resident Dubliner, Lauren Taylor (formerly of Hawksmoor Spitalfields). Squeeze into snugs for rounds of punch or pull up a bar stool and sip on a favourite whiskey from the list curated by Bar Manager, Spencer Large (Barbecoa). Refuel with items from NUALA Bar’s, which includes potted smokie, scampi-fried quail eggs and coffee ham with Irish condiments. Downstairs, visitors can expect music, craic and classic Irish devilment.
