Rakes Bottomless Brunch Review
Sunny Saturdays are made for bottomless brunching, and we were invited to Brunch Paradiso at Rakes Cafe Bar in the Andaz London Liverpool Street.
The decor in Rakes was relatively classic, but had a modern and warm vibe including neon lights, disco balls and a DJ stand playing a great playlist of summer vibes.
Upon arrival, we were given a welcome drink so I ordered a refreshing Mojito and my other half ordered a Long Island Ice Tea.
The bottomless brunch package starts at £45 and includes a main course, a dessert and unlimited Prosecco or House Cocktails. I often find Prosecco too sweet, so after a glass or two I swapped to try the cocktails; Aperol Spritz, Spicy Margarita or Pear & Tea Fizz – all of which I really enjoyed.
When it comes to food, their menu is relatively selective (which is ideal for someone as indecisive as me), but the food was all really good quality and very fresh and tasty. Two of us ate the Smashed Avocado on Sourdough (I also had a side of delicious Rosemary Salted Fries), one had the Rakes Pancake Stack (served with rhubarb compote, pistachio cream and berries) and the other ordered the Buttermilk Chicken Burger.
We actually ended up staying long after we had finished our food, as the restaurant had a really nice atmosphere, and the service was great – keeping our glasses topped up and making sure we were well looked after.
Overall we had a great visit, and I’d recommend it for a group of friendly looking for nice cocktails, and a nice vibe for a weekend bottomless brunch.
