Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana opens on Clapham Common

Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana has recently opened its brand new Clapham Common pizzeria. The newest neighbourhood location will bring its celebrated authentic Neapolitan pizzas to the esteemed South-West location. Bookings for the upcoming Clapham Common pizzeria are open now via THIS LINK.

Adding to Rudy’s already-popular pizzerias in Soho, Shoreditch, Tottenham Court Road, Spitalfields, Queensway and Westfield, this new opening will be the first neighbourhood location in the capital, offering South West Londoners the opportunity to enjoy Rudy’s authentic Neapolitan pizza, signature dips and classic Italian desserts, just in time for the summer months.

Located on The Pavement, where Robin Gill’s ‘The Dairy’ once stood, this Rudy’s location is just a stone’s throw from the iconic Clapham Common and bustling high street. It will be an intimate spot, with a quaint street-side dining space — perfect for embracing Neapolitan aperitivo culture and soaking up some rays this summer season.  Further honouring its Neapolitan roots, the new Rudy’s in Clapham will host a well-stocked bar serving iconic Italian spritzes, crisp Italian Poretti lager, their own speciality Orancello and classic stirred-cocktails such as Negronis and Limoncello Spritzes.

Born out of passion for pizza, Rudy’s follows the authentic Neapolitan tradition of pizza-making, renowned for its consistency and quality. Now joining an elevated and celebrated neighbourhood-culinary scene in Clapham, the relaxed and community-led dining concept will offer classic Napoli-born recipes such as the Marinara, Margherita and Calabrese, alongside paying homage to famous pizzerias around the globe with rotating specials. Previous iconic collaborations include the likes of Napoli on the Road, Chris Bianco, andNew York City’s famed Una Pizza Napoletana.

Rudy’s dough is made fresh daily by their in-house pizzaioli, using Caputo ‘00’ flour which takes over 24 hours to be lovingly made, before being topped with the highest-quality ingredients from Naples, the birthplace of pizza. This includes San Marzano tomatoes grown on fields at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, and traditional Fior di Latte mozzarella.

Staying true to the traditions of Naples, each pizza is cooked to order, for around 60 seconds – resulting in a soft and light pizza with an airy and raised ‘cornicione’ crust.
