SEABIRD LAUNCHES LOBSTER SUNDAYS With ST~GERMAIN

On Sunday 3rd November,  we visited Seabird, the rooftop restaurant perched atop the 14th floor of The Hoxton, Southwark. Now I’ve been to The Hoxton numerous time and never knew of this little gem of a restaurant upstairs! It’s simply stunning and the views were pretty good. We were there to try the new ‘Lobster Sundays’ – where long lunches and bountiful plates of lobster are king.

With rooftop city views and lavish lobster sharing dishes paired with bespoke drinks from St~Germain elderflower liqueur, it really was a luxurious Sunday. We even had live music which was absolutely beautiful.

While you can choose individual dishes, it’s £49 for the lot so worth it to try everything.

The menu consists of:

  • Lobster Tartare with white chicory, spicy avocado puree and smoked chilli
  • Lobster Mini Rolls with Iberico, truffle Manchego and pickled guindilla
  • Lobster Croqueta with lobster bisque aioli and pickle chilli
  • Lobster Tortilla with lobster salsa
  • Crema de Mariscos with smoked pulled lobster meat, bisque, toasted chilli and sourdough.

And if you’re Feeling extra bougie why not add. the Whole Lobster Roll for £79. We didn’t get to try this but did have food envy when we saw other guests eating it! It really did contain a whole lobster!!

There were no complaints about all the dishes with the standouts being the Lobster tortilla and Lobster Tartare. Both my friend and I enjoy a more buttery lobster roll than a mayo based one but they still couldn’t be faulted.

To go with the abundance of lobster, Seabird also worked with the ST~GERMAIN team to design a fresh menu of perfectly matched poursincluding the classic Hugo Spritz with ST~GERMAIN elderflower liqueur, sparkling wine, soda and garnished with zesty lime and fresh mint, Festive Spritz with ST~GERMAIN, sparkling rosé wine, cranberry juice, soda water finished with fresh mint and redcurrants or the Margarita with ST~GERMAIN, Patron Silver tequila and fresh lime. For those looking for a non-alcoholic option, the Vibrante Spritz will be on hand with Martini Vibrante, grapefruit juice and soda.

We went with the Festive Spritz and it really was the perfect Sunday brunch cocktail. We hope these cocktails stay on the menu because they’re everything you want in a cocktail, sweet, fruity and refreshing.

Lobster Sundays at Seabird will take place every Sunday until 24th November from 12 – close. Booking is essential.

You don’t have long to visit, so make sure you book now so you don’t miss out.
