I’ve compiled the below guide on top tips to putting yourself first, having an enjoyable refresh and the positive impact each experience had on my mental health. Enjoy and take inspiration!

Give your face a real workout

FaceGym Chelsea, situated in the Sloane Stanley Estate, offers a unique facial workout experience that combines vigorous massage techniques with cutting-edge technology. Founded by Inge Theron, the studio aims to tone and lift facial muscles through a regimen that includes knuckling, pinching, and whipping strokes, as well as electrical muscle stimulation. The retro-inspired space features gym-like elements such as rings and lockers, emphasising its fitness approach to skincare. Clients can expect immediate results, including enhanced circulation, collagen production, and a more sculpted appearance.

Give your home office the ultimate refresh

Working from home days seem to be getting fewer and farer between, but that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t create the perfect environment to ‘get shit done’. I recently collaborated with Bou London who gifted me the most incredible, bespoke and custom made desk which has, quite literally, transformed my space. They make their furniture in micro batches of only 10 of each piece per month – meaning everything they do is crafted with skill and love. Designed to be folded away, it’s the perfect addition to any London flat, where we all know space is pretty limited!

Zen your space with scents

There is nothing more relaxing and calming than incense, am I right? Temple of Incense has to be my favourite brand I’ve found in this space. They commission talented artisans in Kashmir who are busy hand painting their new incense holders. The traditional designs are impressive beyond belief. With a full range of scents that are deeply rooted in calming properties, you need to get some incense in your life. Immediately!

Plants make you happy. Fact.

I actually found an American study online that discusses the psychological benefits of houseplants, stating that spending time with them lowers cortisol levels, leading to reduced stress. Wow. Now Beards & Daisies are really ahead of the game, offering a selection of top tier, quality plants – of all shapes and sizes – hand delivered to your home. So you don’t even have the faff of going out to get it! Best of all, each plant is delivered with comprehensive instructions on how to keep it alive, so it’s foolproof for even the newest of plant parents. They also state on the website which options are and aren’t pet-friendly, which was super helpful for me.

Get some vitamins in your body

We all need to take our vitamins. It’s well known that living in the UK leaves us deficient of all sorts of good vitamins. This is where Diso® comes in. Whether you need an energy boost to get you through long working days or are keen to keep that luscious head of hair strong and healthy, you’ll find plenty of products to support your Diso® journey. Diso® vitamin supplements are designed to be high-absorption, working 3-4 times faster than the methods of traditional health supplements, and they cover the full spectrum – from Vitamin D and C, all the way to collagen.

Give your body the ultimate science reset

The Vidavii circuit is a cutting-edge wellness experience that consists of three main stages: Breathe, Squeeze, and Freeze. Before diving into the circuit, there’s a pre-stage— the 3D Body Scan— that tracks your progress by creating a digital avatar, analysing key body measurements such as BMI, weight, and hip-waist ratio. The full circuit takes just 30 minutes to complete, offering a quick yet effective approach to holistic health. The technology behind it is truly state-of-the-art, incorporating devices like the Lymphatic Flow System (for lymphatic drainage), the Whole Body Cryotherapy (cryo chamber), and the Infrared and Ionised Oxygen Chamber (multi-cryo hacking system). While each of these treatments offers individual benefits, when combined, they provide a synergistic effect that amplifies the overall wellness experience. A must book for wellbeing nuts!

Have the ultimate hair wash and steam

Perhaps one of the most relaxing acts in the world is having your hair professionally washed, is it not? I headed down to the beautiful Adem Salon in Victoria for a treatment that really was a cut above the rest. Starting with a thorough wash, a high tech ‘hat’ is popped on your head followed by an intensive steam. The products used seam to have hints of menthol to really open up your hair follicles and provide a deep cleansing treatment. Finished with a gorgeous massage, condition and bouncy blow dry, this is the ultimate act of self care from the world’s friendliest salon team.

Enjoy an authentic Japanese dining experience

The Yards is a beautiful shopping and dining destination, situated in the heart of bustling Covent Garden. A bit of a refuge from the busy streets surrounding, the ultimate stop off is Ukiyo. Take a seat around the Japanese bar and see the skilled and talented chefs at work – this is almost a style of meditation in itself. Whilst this spot is famed for its hand rolls, which by the way are the best I’ve ever tasted in London, it’s a joy to watch them craft the cold and sushi dishes also. Sip away on sake- and yuzu-laced cocktails, and on a hot summer’s day, feel transported to the bustling Izakaya’s of Japan – without the expense of a plane ticket. A win-win.
