Stay With Us At Mollie’s In Bristol!

Prior to Christmas, my friend and I travelled down to Bristol for a stay action at Mollie’s (mollies.com). What is Mollie’s you ask? Well it is an affordable hotel and diner concept designed by Soho House, with rapid expansion plans to roll out several sought-after, design and tech-led venues across the UK. There’s three in the UK,  Bristol, Oxford and Manchester (will open in Summer 2024), so those looking to get out of London… it’s the perfect place to stay.

Bringing a contemporary, stylish, and modern take on the American roadside pitstop, its bold vision is to transform travel with its distinctive and disruptive ‘budget-luxe’ offering in and around key UK cities.

Upon arrival, you will be pleasantly surprised by the cool, contemporary, and comfortable interiors exclusively designed by Soho House, combined with a fun atmosphere, destination dining, personable service and innovative tech, all at an unexpectedly affordable price point, which keeps every guest in mind. If I’m going to be completely honest I mean for as little as £80 a night, I was expecting a budget hotel with no amenities and just having a place to sleep.

I was so wrong! Mollie’s was a luxurious motel and somewhere I’d definitely be visiting again. Smart TVs, usb chargers and modern rooms… I couldn’t believe for the low cost of the hotel… I got all this!

To tell you a little bit more about the brand, it launched in 2019 with a Motel, Diner & Drive-Thru in Buckland, Oxfordshire, followed by a second Motel & Diner in 2021 in Cribbs Causeway, Bristol. There’s also a further 10 locations already earmarked as part of the immediate expansion plan, including the Summer 2024 launch of city-centre-based Mollie’s Manchester, opening in the former Granada TV Studios.

As Mollie’s opens further locations, it will provide a new diversity in hotel stays, with a recognisable identity that aims to be consistently different, yet always adventurous, and always Mollie’s.

Before a lovely night in our room, we spent time in the hotel bar having the festive cocktails on offer – The English Garden Spritz was a winner and bar staff even made me a delightful Bees Knees which was off menu.

We then ventured over for dinner at the nearby Mollie’s diner for burgers. Food is very decently priced and tasty. I opted for the festive turkey burger (it was Christmas when we visited) while my friend had the classic American burger. You couldn’t fault both. Make sure you check out the milkshakes and starters on the menu, they’re delicious.

After dinner, we ventured back to our room for a restful night’s sleep. Beds are extremely comfortable so you’re guaranteed to sleep well before exploring Bristol the next day.

Make sure you revisit Mollie’s Diner the next for a cheeky Full English. There’s nothing better when having a staycation!
