Summer Just Got Spicier: Crayfish Boils Return to Gosnells Bar, Bermondsey!
London foodies, rejoice – the legendary Crayfish Boils are back at Gosnells Bar in Bermondsey, and they’re hotter, tastier, and livelier than ever. After 20 sold-out sessions last year, Crayfish Bob has returned for summer 2025, bringing his unmistakable Louisiana flair right to the heart of SE16.
Onin.London attend the 1st 2025 event on the 22nd June and could not have enjoyed ourselves more. So we’re pleased to share with you that every Sunday afternoon, Gosnells transforms into a celebration of Southern hospitality, music, and mouth-watering seafood. For £60 per person, guests are treated to a full-on sensory experience: a welcome glass of Gosnells’ crisp and refreshing Hazy Nectar, the irresistible swampy grooves of Crayfish Bob’s Crawdaddies band, and – of course – a heaping helping of perfectly spiced crayfish, smoky sausage, buttery corn, and tender potatoes. This is not just a meal; it’s a proper party with a purpose.snd best of all the food is unlimited while you’re there! We went through so much crawfish, I thought I’d turn into one!
The magic of these boils lies in their authenticity. Bob’s spice mix is bold, balanced, and brimming with Cajun soul. Every bite transports you straight to the bayous of Louisiana – even as you’re tucked away in a buzzing Bermondsey taproom. I honestly felt like I had travelled back to 2014 to when I was in New Orleans enjoying this amazing food. Yet what makes this event truly special is its heart: while you’re cracking claws and soaking up the sunshine vibes, you’re also supporting a cause. The crayfish served are American Signal Crayfish – an invasive species threatening UK waterways. So every crustacean you devour helps protect Britain’s natural ecosystems. Pretty impressive if you ask ask us!
With limited seats and high demand, these boils are set to be a staple of London’s summer food calendar once again. Whether you’re a die-hard seafood lover, a music enthusiast, or just looking for a unique, joy-filled Sunday experience, this is not to be missed. I’m hoping to head back later on as summer progresses as I’ve had a few friends tell me they’re keen to attend so sounds like the perfect excuse to go visit again!
Grab a bib, raise a glass, and let the good times boil! Tickets available now – don’t miss your chance to be part of this deliciously messy tradition.
