Tom Felton Lights the Empire State Building in Green to Celebrate His Broadway Debut and Return to the Role of “Draco Malfoy” in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

Last night (Monday, Oct. 27), the Empire State Building shone its world-famous tower lights in the four Harry Potter house colours for ten minutes of the evening, before switching to green, to celebrate Tom Felton’s Broadway debut and return to his role of “Draco Malfoy” in Harry Potter and the Cursed ChildHarry Potter and the Cursed Child is a proud supporter of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

The Empire State Building hosted a lighting ceremony with actor Tom Felton, who flipped the famous light switch.

After the ceremony, Tom toured the Observatory Experience – which was named the #1 Top Attraction in New York City for the fourth consecutive year in Tripadvisor’s 2025 Travelers’ Choice Awards: Best of the Best Things to Do – and posed for photos on the building’s 86th and 102nd Floor Observatories.
