1864 Hafiz Mustafa brings luxury Turkish treats to Knightsbridge with first UK location
1864 Hafiz Mustafa, the iconic Turkish patisserie with a cultural heritage dating back to 1864, has opened its first UK location in Knightsbridge.
Renowned for its rich staples of luxury Turkish delights, baklava, cakes, traditional milk pudding and artisanal confectionary, 1864 Hafiz Mustafa is bringing the historic flavours of Istanbul to one of London’s most popular shopping districts as the first part of their UK expansion plans.
Adjacent to Harrods with beautiful marble interiors, this flagship outlet will offer an immersive experience that pairs 1864 Hafiz Mustafa’s signature desserts with an elegant café setting. Visitors can indulge in a wide variety of traditional Turkish sweets, from hand-crafted baklava to luscious Turkish delight, along with a selection of gourmet teas and coffees to be enjoyed in the main tearoom or within one of the ‘hidden’ areas for a more private experience.
1864 Hafiz Mustafa has long been celebrated for its heritage, artisanal craftsmanship and commitment to excellence. As an esteemed entrepreneur, Hafiz Mustafa’s delicacies were enjoyed by rulers in the Ottoman Palace and hold an esteemed role in the cultural heritage of the era. From winning 11 medals across Europe for his culinary talents between the years 1926 and 1938, the original baker’s formula for creating beautiful confectionary utilising time-honoured techniques is still in practice: using sugar cane instead of glucose, natural madders and natural fruit essences instead of colorants, ensuring the perfect balance of flavour and texture.
Their current global presence has an international reach of twenty branches; the brand’s expansion will incorporate forty-five branches worldwide by 2032. The UK operation is maintained by a 3,000 square-meter kitchen in Enfield where ancient recipes are followed to the letter for premium quality.
With restaurant and takeaway options, along with a world-famous Turkish breakfast menu available on weekends, the Knightsbridge store will offer Londoners and international visitors a true taste of 160 years of Turkish culture.
