Massage review at the Kensington Medispa

Taking some time out to treat yourself to a massage for most of us can be a real treat, and one that doesn’t happen that often, day-to-day things in life tends to always get in the way. But we must look after our body I hear you cry! Yes indeed! So last week I decided it was time to allocated some time in the morning to relax, unwind and enjoy a full body massage. I visited the Kensington Medi spa, located in the Royal Garden hotel (it has it’s own private entrance, which is a relief as the hotel is currently closed – undergoing refurbishment).

When I arrived I received a lovely warm welcome at reception and shortly after I was introduced to my masseuse. Once laid down, with a warm blanket over me, with relaxing and soothing music playing from the speakers, I started to relax. My masseuse was friendly and kind, which made me feel at ease. It’s been a while since I’ve had a massage, so I was aware of how tense I am and the amount of knots my masseuse would have to deal with.

I went for the ELEMIS Hot Mineral Body Boost (60 mins), which stimulates cells in the body, helping alleviate muscular pain and remove toxins. I was asked how firm I wanted the massage and if I had any aches / pains, I told her of my tight and tense muscles in my neck and shoulders and she kindly gave this part of my body a lot more attention. The massage was firm, soothing and relaxing.

After the massage my body felt relaxed and lighter and my mind less erratic. I left on a real high, ready to see what the day ahead of me would bring. I wish most of my days started off like this!

The salon also offers a range of other treatments, which includes facials, waxing, fillers and Strawberry Lifts, to view all treatments visit: https://kensingtonmedispa.com
