MADE IN CHELSEA STAR PROUDLOCK’S NEW JOB AS A BELLHOP AHEAD OF THE LONDON MARATHON
Runners descending on the capital for the TCS London Marathon are in for a treat thanks to a special room service surprise.
Puresport, the performance wellness brand backed by elite athletes and behind a fast-growing global run club movement, is hitting the capital’s top hotels to hand-deliver recovery kits directly to marathon runners ahead of race day.
Among those helping out are Made in Chelsea’s Oliver Proudlock and influencer Mitch Tucker, who’s running the marathon for Kidney Care UK. Together, they launched the campaign dressed in full bellboy attire.
Proudlock, also known for founding fashion label Serge DeNimes, is an early investor in Puresport and a long-time supporter of the brand’s wellness-first ethos.
The initiative is part of Puresport’s “Universal Language of Running” campaign – which aims to celebrate runners from all over the world, of all levels, united in the journey of training towards, and running a marathon.
Founded in 2018 by a pair of former Scotland rugby internationals, the brand has grown from grassroots beginnings to become one of the biggest names in performance supplements, led by CEO and former England 7s player Daniel Temm.
He said: “We’ve built a community around running through our run clubs, so we wanted to give back ahead of the marathon, which is one of the biggest events on the running calendar. We wanted to show up for people in a way they’d remember – and in a way that would truly help.
“You’ve flown in, checked in, and suddenly someone’s at your door with a recovery kit. That’ll stay with you..”
The limited-edition kits include Puresport’s premium supplements — hydration sachets, magnesium, and marathon socks — designed to help runners perform and optimise recovery before and after the big day.
Runners are invited to sign up for the surprise drop via Puresport’s Instagram. Those selected are receiving their deliveries between April 21–23 at hotels across central London.
Proudlock said: “There’s so much noise around Marathon weekend, and I love that Puresport is doing something personal. It’s got heart and humour — and it’s actually useful. I’ve seen firsthand how much the team care about their community – I’m proud to be part of it.
“I think if you run the marathon, you’ll need all the help you can get. Hopefully this helps!”
Puresport’s products are trusted by everyone from the 50,000+ participants in its global run clubs and to elite athletes like England International Rugby Union players Ben Earl and Henry Pollock, 1500 and 5000m runner George Mills and 2024 Paralympic gold medallist Sammi Kinghorn.
Here are some of the top supplements to be at your best on marathon day:
- Ultra Electrolytes – Helps maintain hydration and electrolyte balance
- Ultra Magnesium – Aids muscle recovery and restful sleep
- Cardiovascular Cordyceps – Supports endurance and oxygen uptake
- Creatine Monohydrate – Fuels muscular performance
- Vitamin D3 + K2 – Supports bone strength, immunity, and energy levels
