Saikou Review
I was looking for a good spot to go out for a midweek dinner with a friend and as I’m based in North London, I was intrigued to try the newly opened Saikou in Camden.
They have an extensive A La Carte menu, so we decided to share a few bits between us. To start, we had a bowl of Edamame with salt and Salmon Carpaccio in a really light ginger and sesame dressing. We also shared some Spicy Tuna Maki, which was really fresh.
I was very tempted by their salads and big selection of sushi (especially the sushi platters!) but as we visited on a cold night, it was only right that we tried their ramens. My friend ordered the Yasai Vegetable Ramen and I decided to have the Jukusei Tori Chicken Ramen. I have often struggled to find a decent ramen spot nearby, but I’ll definitely be going back for seconds. The portion was generous and the broth was packed full of flavour; especially the chicken ramen.
If you’re looking for somewhere to get away from the hustle and bustle of Camden Market but still have good food, I’d recommend giving Saikou a try!
