Brindisa Tapas Fires Up the Paella Pans for a Spanish Summer at The Power Station

Brindisa Tapas is bringing a slice of Spanish sunshine to London this summer with Paella at The Power Station, a series of delicious weekend sessions filled with gorgeous views, great drinks and even better food.

From 1^st August until 27^th September at Brindisa Tapas Battersea, Londoners will be able to take a trip to Spain without having to travel quite as far south. The Thames-side restaurant will be serving a variety of paellas on its beautiful terrace, where diners can enjoy a satisfying yet delicate plate (or two) of paella, alongside cold beers and ciders, Spanish-inspired cocktails, wines, sherries and vermouths.

Two distinct Spanish rice dishes will be on offer throughout the summer on alternating weekends, allowing visitors to choose a dish and date to suit their tastebuds. Alternatively, the competitive paella fanatics among us can make a weekly trip to tick each one off. Prefer to eat in the sunshine? The paella will also be available for takeaway – perfect for a picnic in nearby Battersea Park.

One week will bring the authentic Paella Valenciana – a traditional rice dish from the orchards and fields of eastern Spain, featuring a hearty mix of chopped chicken, rabbit, green beans, saffron and paella rice. In the second week, the perfectly balanced and unique Arroz Meloso will be available, combining Argentinian red prawns with rice for a glossy texture and deep, savoury flavour. The variations will be available on a rotating basis, with each one on offer for a weekend before moving on to the next.

Paella at The Power Station will be running at Brindisa Tapas Battersea every Saturday and Sunday from 1^st August until 27^th September – starting with traditional Paella Valenciana. Diners can order paella or arroz meloso for just £16 from 1pm until it’s gone – but the team will only be cooking one pan per day, so it’s recommended to get down early. Given that Brindisa derives from the Spanish word brindis – a toast shared between friends – it seems a fitting way to while away a weekend afternoon: soaking up the sunshine, tucking into a tasty paella, and toasting to time well spent with friends.
