A Rejuvenating Stay at Hart Shoreditch

From the moment we arrived at Hart Shoreditch, it was clear we were in for a thoughtfully curated and truly restorative experience in the heart of one of London’s most vibrant neighbourhoods. The warm welcome from staff at the Hotel really set the tone for a the nights stay that blended creativity, wellness, and top-tier hospitality.

Mindful Crafting Meets Modern Luxury

Kicking off the trip, we experienced the Mindful Mending Club led by Andrea Cheong. This was a unique and grounding experience. Set against the stylish backdrop of the hotel lobby, the session encouraged us to slow down and reconnect with our clothes in a meaningful way — all while enjoying delicious light bites courtesy of UBA. Andrea’s guidance was practical and empowering, turning what could have felt like a chore into a mindful, creative ritual.

Andrea helped us mend some of our clothes and give them new life. While completing this time we also got to try UBA’s new lunch menu, designed for corporate guests who use the hotel for meetings.

I’ve previously completed a Soapsmith bath salt making class here before in the same lobby and that one was amazing. So whether you choose Mindful Mending or one of the other amazing workshops, there really is something for everyone.

Time to Explore & Unwind

After checking into our beautifully designed rooms (equal parts cozy and contemporary), we had the afternoon to explore Shoreditch at our own pace. Hart Shoreditch’s location couldn’t be better — a short stroll from Spitalfields Market, Boxpark, and Columbia Road Flower Market, which offered the perfect mix of culture, shopping, and local flair. I chose to spend the time napping and enjoying the comfort of my room. It was much needed and really prepped me for the evening ahead.

An Evening of Relaxation & Culinary Delights

After everyone returned we gathered for the Hart to Heart Sound Healing session with Carrie Parker of Fire & Alchemy — this a calming, meditative experience that left everyone feeling centered and refreshed. They made sure the experience was inclusive for myself and another guest who is pregnant so it was a great that we could be made comfortable and relax with the rest of the guests. The evening continued with expertly crafted cocktails or mocktails in my case at the bar followed by dinner at UBA, where the pan-Asian cuisine was vibrant, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It was the ideal setting for connecting with fellow journalists and sharing impressions of the day. There was also lots of pregnancy friendly options so not being limited on the menu was great.

UBA is fantastic and I’ve told so many of my friends they need to visit. I throughly enjoyed my Rock Shrimp Tempura, Prawn Har Gow, Miso Black Cod and other dishes that the team said were must haves while we were there. All were absolutely delicious.

In terms of dessert we shared the cheesecake and Mochi selection but the black cherry sorbet we had a lunch is one not to miss as well.

After a peaceful overnight stay with breakfast at our leisure at UBA, we left the hotel feeling rejuvenated and relaxed.

The Hart Shoreditch press trip was a brilliant balance of creativity, wellness, and local exploration. Every detail from the intimate workshops to the luxurious accommodations reflected the hotel’s commitment to creating a meaningful guest experience. Whether you’re in town for work, rest, or a bit of both, Hart Shoreditch is a destination worth visiting.
