A Summer of Wonder at Twist Museum: Why It’s the Perfect Spot for a Hen’s Party
If you’re searching for a hen’s party destination that’s as Instagrammable as it is unforgettable, step right into the Twist Museum’s Curious Minds Festival 2025. Running until 31 August, this Oxford Street wonderland is mixing art, science, illusion, and just the right dose of mischief to create a season of experiences you won’t find anywhere else. While yes, it may be an unusual spot for your typical Hen’s Party if was perfect for our group as we had junior bridesmaids and pregnant hens who weren’t up to the usual craziness that comes with typical do!
The Twist Museum has already earned its reputation as London’s most mind-bending attraction. It’s a place where perception is play and curiosity is king. I’ve had friends visit previously and they loved it so on the day we went, we were excited to see what all the fuss was about! We were not disappointed.
This summer, the Curious Minds Festival though takes Twist up a notch, offering a line-up of interactive workshops, playful installations, and crucially for any bride tribe… there’s Twilight Thursdays: adults-only, after-hours adventures designed for letting loose in the most creative way possible. We didn’t go on a Thursday but Hens will love it as they skip the standard “pub and prosecco” route. At Twist, you and your bride tribe can sip cocktails while wandering through mind-warping rooms, giant optical illusions, and jaw-dropping immersive art. The evening vibe is hyped to feel like a mix of secret party and private playground, with every corner perfect for group selfies and TikTok-worthy moments. It runs every Thursday from 7pm–10pm and the museum transforms into an adults-only wonderland. You’ll find themed entertainment, live art performances, magical masterclasses, and a well-stocked bar so you can toast the bride while trying something entirely new.
At £12.50 in addition to general entry, it’s not only a unique choice, but also a cost-friendly way to host a hen’s night that guests will actually remember.
Other Festival Highlights include:
- Mindfulness Week (11–17 August) – A serene start for the bride-to-be, featuring calming soundscapes and interactive art powered by the bio-rhythms of plants.
- Music Week (18–24 August) – Dance your way through live tunes, immersive beats, and interactive sound installations.
- Creativity Week (25–31 August) – Get hands-on with cinematic stop-motion sessions (imagine making a mini movie starring the bride and bridesmaids).
Whether you’re a local Londoner looking for a fresh hen’s party idea or an out-of-towner wanting to make the most of the capital, Twist Museum’s Curious Minds Festival delivers fun, glamour, and a dash of the unexpected.
We had an absolute blast taking selfies, being awed by all the optical illusions and wondering how is that possible?
One minute you’re laughing inside an upside-down room, the next you’re clinking glasses surrounded by shimmering illusions or in our case pretending to pour champagne out of an amazing Vendula London Champagne bag. It’s cheeky, it’s chic, and it’s exactly the kind of magic every bride deserves before saying “I do.”
So whether you’re looking for a unique Hen’s do idea or a place to visit with your friends and family. Check out Twist!
