Boxcar Bread & Wine Review

In and around Marble Arch/the Edgware Road isn’t an area I’m particularly familiar with, so when we were invited to visit Boxcar Bread & Wine, I was intrigued to see what we would find.

Boxcar is the ideal place to kickstart a day, with mouthwatering freshly baked pastries and hand-roasted coffees at their grab and go counter. We tried the Sausage Roll and Leek and Potato Pastry, and neither disappointed – both were fresh and full of flavour, and almost filled us up before our main lunch dishes!

All of the brunch and lunch dishes are made with locally sourced ingredients and can be ordered to eat in or take away. They have a great selection of both sweet and savoury dishes, so we ordered a Nourish bowl; made up of sweet potato, tofu, avocado chickpeas and tahini dressing, and the fluffiest stack of pancakes; served with rhubarb compote, maple, creme fraiche and maple bacon.

To wash it all down, we both ordered a fresh juice and a hot drink. They also offer wine tastings and are due to be launching an evening offer later this year, so watch this space!

There are three Boxcar locations around London – Marylebone, Marble Arch and Connaught Village, and I look forward to visiting the other sites!
