Casa Felicia Queen’s Park
Tucked into the leafy rhythm of NW6 and between the Townhouses, Queen’s Park has quietly become one of London’s most rewarding places to eat – and its newest opening, Casa Felicia, fits the neighbourhood like it has always been there.
On arrival it feels like a cosy Italian living room. It’s warm without being cramped, relaxed without losing polish, a place where locals drift in for a spritz and stay for dinner, and visitors feel instantly folded into the room. The aromas coming from the kitchen certainly get you excited for the evening ahead too.
At the helm is Head Chef Francesco Savornio, whose Neapolitan roots shine through an ingredient-led menu built on simplicity and care. Pasta is made by hand daily using just semola and water, a detail that sets the tone for everything that follows. The cooking is honest, soulful and deeply comforting.
Two dishes in particular feel non-negotiable. The puntarelle salad, slicked with punchy colatura di alici, is bracing and beautifully balanced – bitter, salty, and utterly moreish. Then there’s the duck ragù (which I think was a special): slow-cooked, rich and deeply savoury, clinging perfectly to fresh pasta.
The menu moves effortlessly between generous plates for sharing – think lasagna layered with care, linguine alla Nerano that tastes like summer, and deeply comforting ziti alla Genovese – and showstopping mains such as whole turbot or salt-crust fish, ideal for long, lingering lunches. Desserts lean classic, but executed with confidence. The tiramisu, in particular, deserves its own recognition of one of the best I’ve had in London.
Casa Felicia also shines when it comes to drinks. Aperitivo hour feels instinctive here, with Campari-based cocktails and a thoughtful list of natural wines, many sourced from Campania. Just as welcome is the genuinely considered range of non-alcoholic options, ensuring everyone at the table feels catered for, another small but telling detail that adds to the restaurant’s inclusive charm.
Founded by Romain Bourrillon, Casa Felicia captures something rare: authenticity without nostalgia, elegance without stiffness. It’s a place made for Queen’s Park, for families, friends, and anyone who values good food, good company, and the simple pleasure of feeling at home.
