Celebrate National Poetry Day at the Alfred Tennyson
For those of you that love incredible food accompanied by thought-provoking activities, Cubitt House’s The Alfred Tennyson is launching a new craft series, set to bring delectable arts and dining together in the beautifully tasteful and newly reopened dining room.
And, what better way to launch their new events series than to honour their namesake on National Poetry Day? On Thursday 28th September, this public house in the heart of Belgravia, will play host to a three course locally sourced dinner menu, interspersed with poetry readings from Eley Williams.
On National Poetry day, not only will you be a guest at one of Cubitt House’s classic establishments, but in between delicious courses you’ll have the opportunity to hear a recipient of the Christopher Tower poetry prize recite her own, greatly renowned, and highly amusing work.
Tickets for this event are priced at £49pp and include a drink on arrival, followed by a three-course meal, with choices that suit everyone. The evening kicks off at 7pm on the 28th September.
If poetry isn’t your bag, keep your eyes peeled for future events in The Alfred Tennyson craft series – such as wreath making in November, and a Valentine’s dinner and crafts evening in February.
