Cinder St John’s Wood Review

I’m going to go ahead and say it; our meal at Cinder in St John’s Wood is one of my favourite meals I’ve eaten out in a while!

The decor is quite rustic and quirky, and the restaurant had a nice feel to it from the moment we sat down. I loved the design of their cocktail menus, with hand drawn cocktails on them, and the food menu had so many delicious sounding dishes that I didn’t know where to start.

Everything on their menu is ‘kissed’ by the BBQ and to start, we ordered the Grilled bread which comes with burnt tomato salsa and confit garlic tahini; which I could’ve eaten by the bowlful. We also had the Cod Croquettes served with a red pepper relish and Burnt leeks with pecorino and hazelnuts. I was also tempted by the Hispi Cabbage and Crispy Artichoke from their small plates, so will be going back for these next time!

From their bigger plates, we ordered the Chicken leg with harrisa yoghurt and herb salad and the Slow Cooked Lamb with ras el hanout with sides of Triple cooked potatoes and Broccoli with chili and garlic butter. Again, I was tempted by the Cedar plan salmon and the Braised sticky beef rib; so definitely need to go back to try these!

Overall, I couldn’t recommend it enough and we had a really fantastic meal. As you can tell, I can’t wait to go back to either this branch or their restaurant in Belsize Park!
