Crosta Mollica Unveils New Look
Upmarket Italian brand Crosta Mollica has unveiled a new look for 2025. The changes are to reflect the brand’s authentic Italian credentials and introduce a new audience to their products.
You might know the brand as Crosta & Mollica, but now the ampersand has been removed from the name. Chatting to the team, they explained many customers used to say Crosta Mollica and removing the ampersand makes it more simplified and easy to remember while still being ‘quintessentially Italian’. The name literally means ‘crust’ and ‘crumb’.
In terms of packaging, the black and white stripes are now thicker and one stripe is coloured for each different pizza style. Theres also an image to showcase the pizza within, highlighting the freshness of the ingredients. The pizza names and ingredients are now in Italian, emphasising the Italian heritage of the brand.
There’s also a new logo- a black leopard reflecting the leopardisation process that gives rise to black scorch marks on the crust. The leopard is placed between the words sourdough and wood-fired. Crosta Mollica’s pizza dough is made using water from the Dolomites mountain range which is then wood-fired on a lava stone.

The new tag is “non per tutti” (not for everyone). Crosta Mollica have said it’s part of their strategy to remind consumers their products might not be for everyone such as those wanting pineapple on their pizza, and who want “craftmanship, quality and commitment to authenticity”. As someone who loves pineapple on their pizza, I can still attest that Crosta Mollica have a delicious range of pizzas.
These updates reflect the brands’ focus on their Italian credentials and superior quality ingredients. Crosta Mollica executive chairman David Milner said: “We are the only pizza which is made in Italy – halfway between Venice and the Dolomites – with high-quality ingredients sourced from local producers and craftspeople”.
At the recent launch, we sampled some of the range. The Margherita uses a pizzeria recipe tomato sauce, Fior di Latte mozzarella, Parmigiano Reggiano cheese – and a sprinkle of Sicilian oregano. The simple yet quality ingredients shone through, and one piece simply wasn’t enough be enough!
We also tried the Stromboli pizza. Here Crosta Mollica’s signature slow-proved, leopardised sourdough base is topped with a subtly-spicy tomato sauce, Fior di Latte mozzarella, smoky Ventricina and peppery Calabrese salamis, and hand-crumbled Pepperoni with a sprinkle of chilli flakes. The crust has a good thickness and crunch.
The Crosta Mollica range includes Stromboli, margherita, Fiorentina, Verdure, Regina, Rustica, Capricciosa, formaggi, a ready to top base pizza, and gluten free margherita.
Crosta Mollica is available in the fridge and freezer sections of several retails such as Tesco, Waitrose, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Costco and Co-Op.
