DADÁ Wines: Argentina’s Art-Inspired Brand Arrives to Disrupt the UK Wine Aisle
DADÁ Wines has arrived from Argentina to shake up the UK wine aisle and redefine how the country enjoys wine. The unapologetically unconventional and art-inspired wine brand has landed in Tesco and Sainsbury’s with its fruity Malbec – perfect for easy drinking this red wine season and positioned perfectly for people who are not necessarily wine connoisseurs to enjoy.
To celebrate, we were invited to Sip and Paint with a difference – instead of painting on a canvas, we each doodled and drew on one of DADÁs wine bottles; the perfect keepsake for our drinks trolley at home!
The brand takes its name from the avant garde art movement of Dadaism that celebrated absurdity and defied logic – and its wine holds the same values. Bold, creative and different, DADÁ rejects wine-world pretension in favour of playful spontaneity and sensory delight. “DADÁ isn’t just wine—it’s an attitude,” says Josefina Castro Feijoo at DADÁ Wines. “We believe great wine shouldn’t require a rulebook. DADÁ is made for discovery, for fun, and for anyone who loves to do things a little differently.”
Rather than focusing on grape variety, DADÁ’s wines are numbered to reflect the drinker’s style or mood – each designed for casual discovery rather than traditional tasting notes. The Art Malbec #391, which is the first bottle to land in UK supermarkets, is purplish-red in colour with fruity aromas of ripe cherries and plums. Toasted in French oak, it has a soft and delicate texture making it easy to drink no matter the time of day or occasion.
From weekend brunches alongside a cheese & charcuterie board, to after-work drinks, or sharing with friends at dinner parties over some indulgent pasta, it’s perfect for red wine season this Autumn / Winter.
DADÁ #391 is now available at Tesco and Sainsbury’s, RRP £8.00.
