Doughnation Review

We were invited to one of Covent Garden’s newest additions, Doughnation – a pizza spot with a lovely outdoor space in the heart of Covent Garden.
Doughnation is committed to making a meaningful impact, with the cost of a slice from each pizza being donated to causes close to the brand’s heart. Alongside great pizza and drinks, it’s nice to know that we were dining somewhere that does its bit for charity.
We were lucky with the weather, so opted to sit outside on the terrace, where you can soak up the atmosphere of the square and watch the world go by. On a colder day, there is plenty of indoor seating, or if you’re braving the outside they have plenty of blankets to keep you warm.
Now onto the food….
Whilst the menu is quite concise, there is an interesting selection of pizzas to choose from. We opted for theTruffled Mushroom Regout, made with Doughnation’s signature truffle-based sauce, hazelnuts, mushroom and mozzarella, and the 3 Prawn Deluxe; fusing king prawns, tiger prawns and English shrimps with an added firey kick of chilli.

We also paired our pizza’s with Doughnation’s Basil and Pesto crust dip and shared a side of baked sweetcorn ribs, coated in pesto.
To wash down our food, we both ordered the Botanista Spritz cocktail – a combination of Aperol, Gin, St Germain elderflower, sparkling wine and fresh mint; perfect for the summer months!
Doughnation is the perfect place to grab a quick meal before a show or for a casual night out – or even for a treat takeaway!
