Elevate Your Sunday Roast At Oblix at The Shard
If you’re looking for a Sunday dining experience that’s as memorable as the view, Oblix at The Shard is where to visit! Situated high above London on Level 32 in the Shard, Oblix has elevated (no pun intended) the classic Sunday Roast.
From the moment my family and I were seated, we were amazed by the the 360-degree views which are simply breathtaking. The sweeping panorama that stretches from Tower Bridge to St. Paul’s and beyond is truly a must see sight and as my family were visiting London, getting to experience this venue with them, made the meal even more memorable. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between refined and relaxed, making it ideal for family gatherings, celebrations, or simply treating yourself to something special.
The Sunday Roast meal begins with a selection of beautifully presented shareable starters with no complaints at all. The Caesar Salad was full of flavour as was the Burrata. Our favourites though were definitely the crispy Buttermilk Chicken which had an amazing honey, lime & chilli glaze and the Devilled Eggs, topped with caviar!
For the main course, you can’t go wrong with either the Whole Rotisserie Chicken with Lemon, Rosemary & Smoked Paprika or the Dry-Aged Beef, sourced from top native breeds such as Aberdeen Angus and Hereford. My sister and mum found the chicken to be aromatic and perfectly cooked while my Dry Aged Beef was cooked to perfection. Each bite reflects Oblix’s dedication to premium quality and craftsmanship. The portion sizes were very generous as well as the sides are everything you could hope for in a proper roast. Expect golden Duck Fat Potatoes, perfectly puffed Yorkshire Puddings, and roasted seasonal vegetables that add colour and balance.
And just when you think it can’t get any better, the meal concludes with a sharing platter of signature desserts, an indulgent finale perfect for lingering over with loved ones. I’m still dreaming of that chocolate lava cake and the cheesecake!
Along with my mum and sister, I also visited with my newborn twins, and the staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful throughout. From making sure we were comfortable to ensuring everything ran smoothly, their warmth and attentiveness made the experience even more special.
At £55 per person, Oblix’s Sunday Roast offers outstanding value for such a high-calibre experience. Between the impeccable food, exceptional service, and the unparalleled skyline backdrop, this is more than just a meal… it’s a London moment to savour. Definitely a place to visit if you’re celebrating something special or just want a little opulence in your life.
